General comments
Extinct resident.

Subspecies plumbaria (Fabricius) is the English subspecies of the July Belle. Apart from those from the Sandridge area (before 1884) and the Hertford area (before 1829), which cannot be located adequately, all known records are mapped, including those previously misidentified as Lead Belle. The recent report from the Bricket Wood area presumably relates to a vagrant adult?

Recorded in 12 (29%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2013.
