General comments:
Vagrant. Perhaps an extinct resident.

Most breeding populations are in the south-west and wales; it has always been extremely local in the south-east but does now seem to have been lost from many sites in that region. It is just possible that some Herts & Middlesex records represent to last evidence of breeding populations, but they are most likely wanderers from elsewhere. The adult moth is not given to fully-fledged migratory movements.

Recorded in 8 (20%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 1998.
