Until fairly recently, our only verified county record was of larvae on Angelica at Brocket Hall, prior to 1890, and so the discovery of larvae on Angelica sylvestris at Scales Park, near the Essex border, on 28.ix.2012 was welcome news indeed. The species is not easily named and is without doubt overlooked. It is probably still to be found at further localities, but nevertheless probably is a rare species with us.
