General comments:
Widespread but very local resident.

A distinctive species that is unlikely to be overlooked so that the distribution map may be largely relied upon. There is some evidence of a loss from some sites in the North London Woodlands belt on the boundary between the two counties. This needs investigating by visiting former sites in the appropriate season.

Recorded in 32 (78%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1895.
Last Recorded in 2023.
