General comments
Extremely local resident.

The larvae are supposed to feed on Heather (Calluna vulgaris) and it is difficult to reconcile the actual distribution of recorded adults with this supposition. Perhaps garden varieties of Heather are utilised? Or perhaps there has been a switch in foodplant?

Recorded in 22 (54%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1908.
