General comments:
Extremely local resident.

Although likely to be somewhat overlooked in light traps, this is in any case a scarce species in south-east England and is perhaps on its way out in our own area? Woodland with long-established Golden Rod plants, needed as a foodplant by second generation larvae, are few and far between.

Recorded in 11 (27%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1948.
Last Recorded in 2020.
