Gymnoscelis rufifasciata

General comments:
Widespread resident.

The two generations of adults are evident from the flight chart, but since year 2000 a third generation has become apparent in some years. The presence of red scales on the forewing and/or thorax of this species betrays its identity and allows separation of even the most worn examples from other pug species.

Recorded in 37 (90%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1900.
Last Recorded in 2024.
