Small White Wave
Asthena albulata

(Hufnagel, 1767) 1875 / 70.111

General comments:
Widespread but local resident.

The Small White Wave is a woodland moth and only seen outside that habitat on exceptional occasions. Thus, it is missing from many garden moth trap lists and the absence of records in the north-east of the county is probably genuine; gaps in the south are more likely to reflect under-recording.

Recorded in 23 (56%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2024.
