Drab Looper
Minoa murinata

(Scopoli, 1763) 1878 / 70.117

General comments:
Extinct resident.

Foster (1937) lists 'Tring (Foulkes)'. The date is unknown, but Foulkes' name is absent from the list of '- contributors to this list whose records have been added since the 1902 list of Gibbs.' and so the record is presumed to relate to a nineteenth century report. The moth seems to have retreated westwards and has a current stronghold in the Welsh Borders area, but the recently published national distribution maps show a lost population on the western margin of our area.

Recorded in 1 (2%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1899.
Last Recorded in 1899.
