The eight historic map dots (66% of all records) represent records made, broadly, over a hundred years ago and suggest that this moth was once resident in at least the south of Hertfordshire. It is quite absent in 2022. The 4 current map dots (34%), all date from 2002 onwards and represent areas where the moth was not previously found. Whether these are merely vagrants, or representatives of a small, undiscovered resident population is unclear.
