General comments:
Widespread and usually common resident.

Adults fly in two generations, from April to September; this demonstrates a shift towards earlier emergence, as during the 1980s, at least, adults did not usually appear until early May.

Recorded in 36 (88%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1893.
Last Recorded in 2023.
