Pale Prominent
Pterostoma palpina

(Clerck, 1759) 2011 / 71.020

General comments:
Widespread and usually common resident.

If there is a gap at all when this moth is not flying it is in July, but the records in all years since 1995 show the moth more or less continuously caught throughout the flight period. The moth is near ubiquitous, but is absent from the City of London eastwards in the south-east corner of the county.

Recorded in 36 (88%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2024.
