General comments:
Extinct in Herts; Absent from Middlesex.

The last fully reliable Hertfordshire record is from 1948; an unconfirmed report relates to 1971, but the voucher specimen remains untraced. For Middlesex the only record is from the Ruislip Woods complex in 1940. The species was last seen in Bedfordshire to our north-west in 1803 and apart from one record in 1982 appears to be absent in recent years from Essex to the east.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Recorded in 8 (20%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1890.
Last Recorded in 1971.
