Widespread but local resident.

Though quite widespread across the area, the Pale-shouldered Brocade is decidedly local in its occurrence and there are a great many places that simply do not seem to support this species. A high proportion of reports are from woodlands, or from sites adjacent to such habitat and this may be a limiting factor.
