General comments:
Widespread resident.

In recent years, confusion has become possible with White-point (Mythimna albipuncta), which has become resident. Although present throughout the county, The Clay seems to be present in variable frequency, with some places consistently producing large numbers at light traps and others producing rather few. The reasons behind this are unclear.
