General comments:
Historic resident,now only Vagrant.

Foster (1941) adds this species to the Hertfordshire list from 'Wilstone Reservoir, scarce (A. L. Goodson)'; subsequent enquiries suggest that this record was made during 1930. Later (Foster, 1942), he adds records by J. Bell from Northchurch in 1937. Parts of Northchurch Common and some adjacent areas appear likely to still be able to support this moth, which does not appear to have been specifically looked for here. However, all other records, in both counties, seem far more likely to relate to vagrant examples.

Recorded in 10 (24%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1930.
Last Recorded in 2021.
