General comments:
Immigrant.

The resident population of this species in Britain affects the country from about Derbyshire northwards and around the coast of Wales, the West Country and east as far as the Isle of Wight. In the south-east we know it only as an immigrant from overseas and in our two counties we can lay claim to only a single record of one taken by T. G. Howarth at Barnet Gate, Arkley on 23rd October 1952 (see Proceedings of the South London Entomological and Natural History Society 1953: 32 & Entomologist's Record 65: 325).
