Widespread resident.

Although supposedly also recorded elsewhere on Ash and poplar, the larvae of the Brick seem to have a strong association with Wych Elm within our area. Happily, this tree survived the ravages of Dutch Elm disease in the 1970s and the moth remains widespread and common here.
