General comments:
Widespread resident.

The larval foodplants of this species are rather diverse; northern British populations apparently feed on heathers whilst in the south the leaves of deciduous trees are preferred. In our area, the moth is as widespread and frequent as Red-line Quaker, which has an identical flight period. The two are frequently caught together.

Recorded in 31 (76%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2023.
