Rusina ferruginea

General comments:
Widespread resident.

Female Brown Rustic seem to confuse many people (the males are rather more distinctive). It is a very commonly encountered moth in light traps, but records are sparse for the south of Middlesex.

Recorded in 34 (83%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2024.
