Lempke's Gold Spot
Plusia putnami

Lempke, 1966 2440 / 73.023

Hertfordshire Notes: The possible putnami specimen discussed in Plant (2008) has now been examined and is festucae (Bishops Stortford, 8th August 1959, Geoffrey Sell); the specimen now in my collection. Single moths at Maple Lodge Nature Reserve, 8th August 2009 (Simon Buckingham) and at Tring, 21st August 2009 (Ian Burrus) post-date the book and were doubtless part of a wider immigration of this species in the south-east of England at that time.

Middlesex Notes: Unrecorded
