This Formerly Nationally Scarce moth has increased in population strength and has spread to occupy new sites. Its distribution depends on the presence of a combination of Hop plants and suitable hibernation sites, such as hollow trees, cellars, ice houses and similar places. In Middlesex, garden sheds are most popular.
