General comments:
Immigrant or vagrant.

The solitary report of a female from Berkhamsted on 16th July 2014 would have been attributed to an immigrant, were it not for the fact that the Beech woodlands in extreme west of Hertfordshire, overlapping with Buckinghamshire, formerly supported a population of this now nationally rare species. It should be searched for in that area of Buckinghamshire, as well as in the Beech woodland of western Hertfordshire, in case it is still present. A second adult was recorded on 17 July 2021, in a garden next to Oxhey Wood.
