General comments
Former vagrant.

Included in Cockerell's 1898 list as being present at Highgate. Cockerel would surely not have got it wrong but, given that in those days courtesy between gentlemen was sometimes more important than the science, it is unfortunate that the actual observer was not named. In some situations this approach might have been used to avoid stating that the observer was wrong? that There are no other records for our two counties. Perhaps one day a specimen will turn up in a museum somewhere?
