General comments:
Widespread resident in Hertfordshire; largely absent from Middlesex.

A familiar spring species in Hertfordshire, appearing about a fortnight earlier than Streamer in most years. In Middlesex, modern records are in the border area with Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire (the North London Woodlands belt), where it is widespread and common. Elsewhere it is surprisingly absent.

Recorded in 30 (73%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2023.
