General comments:
Widespread resident.

Although there are two very clear peaks of adult flight shown in the chart there is a third generation in some years, particularly frequent since the 1990s. The result is that the moth can be seen more or less any time between late April and the end of September and it is a well-known fact that third generation adults are often diminutive. Though populations vary significantly over time, in some years the Green Carpet can be super-abundant in light trap catches.
