General comments:
Extremely local resident; declining.

Older woodlands that retain some semblance of a proper woodland structure, with herb-rich rides that support the foodplant might produce Sharp-angled Carpet moths if sufficient recording is undertaken. Then again, almost no woodlands these days support an adequate herb layer. Regrettably, this species is probably well on its way to extinction in Hertfordshire and Middlesex.
