General comments:
Widespread but very local resident.

The available data suggest that this is a rather scarce pug in Hertfordshire, but that merely reflects the scarcity of Larch trees. Find a tree and the moth will likely be present. An extremely late example was taken at Hares Garden Wood, near Tring, on 10th November 2004.
