(Hufnagel, 1767) 1876 / 70.114

General comments:
Widespread but local resident.

The foodplant is supposedly Field Maple in the south and Alder in the north. There is also a suggestion that Sycamore might be used in some areas. In Herts and Middlesex we lack solid evidence, but a goodly number of our moths have been caught in places where Field Maple does not appear to be present.

Recorded in 33 (80%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2023.
