General comments:
Widespread, but rather local resident.

Adults appear in two peaks, as indicated in the chart, but these are separated in any given year so that the impression given by the chart that moths can be found all summer long is a false one. Most of the September records shown were made in 2006, suggesting a partial third generation in that year only. With several widely-spaced locations scattered all over the county, Middlesex seems less favourable to the moth than does Hertfordshire.
