General comments:
Widespread resident.

Almost all our adult records relate to male moths and it seems that the female is uncommon at both mv and actinic light. However, females can be quite easily found by walking through the woods with a lamp and netting them as they fly about.

Recorded in 36 (88%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2024.
