General comments:
Widespread resident.

The Clouded Silver was one of the most frequent species seen in car headlights at dusk along country lanes during the 1980s. but numbers have crashed since then (although the moth is still common).

Recorded in 36 (88%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1887.
Last Recorded in 2024.
