General comments:
Immigrant.

In Europe. the nomino-typical subspecies (Agrotis trux trux) prevails. The resident British population is suspecies lunigera and is resident on the western coastline.

The only Hertfordshire record is from 24th July 2020 at Welwyn, caught by William Bishop in his garden trap. This is illustrated here and appears to be referable to spp. lunigera?

Recorded in 2 (5%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2015.
