Immigrant.

There is a resident population of the Great Brocade in Scotland, but 'down south' all reports relate to primary immigrants; these are typically lighter in colour than the Scottish residents and are thought to originate from Denmark, northern Germany and The Netherlands. There was a large-scale invasion of the coast of Britain by this species on 3rd and 4th August 2006 and this resulted in several Hertfordshire and Middlesex records over the following few days. Our last record, to date was in 2010.
