General comments:
Widespread resident.

The Bright-line Brown-eye is one of the commonest moths in Hertfordshire, ranking 14th in the list of most frequently reported species. It is regularly found feeding on tomato plants in garden greenhouses but is able to survive on a wide range of other foodplants. Occasional caterpillars are found on organically grown vegetables in supermarkets.
