(Linnaeus, 1761) 2191 / 73.288

General comments:
Extinct resident. Vagrant.

In Britain, the Double Line is found in Devon and South Wales, and in a band from Surrey to Hampshire, via Berkshire. There is a handful of old records from Hertfordshire where it was presumably once resident in the years prior to publication of Foster's 1937 county list but probably not beyond that time. In MIddlesex, it is considered a vagrant from Surrey, or perhaps a former rare resident.

Recorded in 8 (20%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1885.
Last Recorded in 2022.
