General comments:
Local resident. Declining.

Curiously, the Brown-spot Pinion seems to have vanished from a broad band across the south-east of Herts where all of the records on the map pre-date 1995. This is in sharp contrast to the north-west area where it appears to be widespread, albeit somewhat local. The paucity of Middlesex records may give concern. This may, perhaps, represent the early stage of a north-westwards range contraction, perhaps driven by climatic changes or other factors.

Recorded in 31 (76%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1891.
Last Recorded in 2023.
