General comments:
Widespread and common resident. Occasional primary immigrant.

This moth has progressed from being an exceptionally rare immigrant to Britain in about the 1970s and 1980s, through being an increasingly regular immigrant and more numerous in the early part of the 21st century to its present day status of established resident. Immigrant examples do still reach us, but the continuation of the local population is not dependent upon these.

Recorded in 34 (83%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1987.
