General comments:
Local resident and occasional vagrant.

Established in just about all chalk grassland areas of Hertfordshire the adults will wander and may be responsible for the correct reports from non-chalk areas. Our very few Middlesex examples are perhaps wanderers from sites on the Chiltern Chalk to the north-west.

Recorded in 21 (51%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1903.
Last Recorded in 2023.
