Cream-bordered Green Pea
Earias clorana

(Linnaeus, 1761) 2418 / 74.011

General comments:
Widespread but local resident.

Cream-bordered Green Pea prevails where sallows, osiers and other Salix species thrive, though these do not necessarily need to be in wet habitats. The distribution shows that the moth has a clear affinity with the north-east of Hertfordshire and all of Middlesex; the enormous blank area of most of southern Hertfordshire cannot be explained by lack of habitat.

Recorded in 23 (56%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1911.
Last Recorded in 2023.
