General comments: Widespread but local resident.
This moth starts to peak in numbers as Udea olivalis is mid-way through its decline and though there is an overlap zone, in most individual years this is very narrow. In spite of being a common species we have no breeding records for the area. The near absence from all of Middlesex comes as a great surprise ... surely there is a measure of under-recording? Recorded in 29 (71%) of 41 10k Squares. First Recorded in 1900. Last Recorded in 2023. |
