Verification Grade:  Adult: 2

General comments:
Widespread, but decidedly local resident.

Probably overlooked in places where the foodplant grows. Unlike G. ochrodactyla and G. pallidactyla, this species has two adult generations in each year. Suggestions made in The Moths of Hertfordshire (2008) that this species might be declining in the south of that county have been proven incorrect. The population appears to be holding more or less steady.
