General comments:
Widespread resident.

The Barred Straw is a familiar site at moth traps across the two counties, but it avoids "London Proper" - the stray map dot in that area represents the light trap at London Zoo, on the north edge of the Regent's Park where it was evidently a resident in 2013. Care should be taken by newcomers to the study of moths not to confuse it with the far less common Spinach.
