General comments:
Widespread resident.

Variation is minimal within this attractive species, but occasionally very dark examples turn up in light traps. Almost all examples attracted to light are males and so rearing the next generation from dark females is seldom possible. Most records are from woodlands, though garden light traps are sometimes visited.

Recorded in 35 (85%) of 41 10k Squares.
