General comments:
Extremely local resident. Vagrant.

The woodlands in the extreme west of Hertfordshire towards Tring support a resident population, as does the Broxbourne Woods National Nature Reserve in the east. The mid-Herts modern record between the two was made in potentially suitable habitat at Shenley in 2015, but our single Middlesex example was surely a vagrant - at a garden in Wembley in 2002.

Recorded in 7 (17%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1900.
Last Recorded in 2019.
