General comments:
Widespread resident.

Absent only from truly urban areas. Maple, in particular, is frequent across the county, but the moth does appear with frequency in some sites where the foodplants apparently do not grow nearby - notably in my garden. In such a situation odd examples may be expected to wander through and be caught, but regular attendance tends to suggest local breeding. This in turn may suggest that another foodplant might be utilised in parts of the county.
