General comments:
Very local and scarce. Adults easily confused with those of Niditinea fuscella, although that, too, is a rare moth in the area. Reliable identification is not possible without dissection of the genitalia. Clearly, it may have been overlooked. Known in the Middlesex from the Fir & Pond Woods nature reserve on the northern boundary. Probably overlooked elsewhere, but likely to be very local.
