Immigrant.

Although the Scarce Silver Y is resident in north-west Britain, examples recorded in the south-east are generally regarded as immigrants from the European mainland. We have four records only, all within Hertfordshire: Cheshunt Street, 'once' (Boyd, 1901); Tring, one taken by A. L. Goodson on 19 August 1960 (Bell, 1962);Rye Meads RSPB reserve, 2nd September 2009; and Berkhamsted, 8th July 2017. The year of the Cheshunt Street example is unclear.
