Ptycholoma lecheana

(Linnaeus, 1758)1000 / 49.022

General comments

Widespread and common resident. The larvae feed on a variety of trees. In our two counties we have reports from unidentified birches (including Downy Birch) and a single report from Lime. Detailed searching is very likely to increase the number of host trees significantly.

Recorded in 24 (59%) of 41 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1890.
Last Recorded in 2023.
