General comments:

The default position with records of wild-caught adult Cnephasia species is that we require dissection of male genitalia. Dissections of females are acceptable only from a those with proof of adequate experience. Non dissected examples are omitted from the database, without exception.

Widespread and usually common. Older records may have been confused with those of C. pumicana - though our rigorous instance of genitalia examination to back up all reports means that the map here is completely accurate.
